The answer is – You. And what’s more important? If to no one else, you should be of importance to you. The question – where you will spend eternity. Actually, even if everything else in your life feels like it’s on shifting sand, where you will be after this phase in your life is over?
You think I’m wrong? But what is I’m not? I believe God thinks you’re important and He’s sent messengers to you in various forms throughout your life… and now, at this moment, He’s sent me with this message. If you’re reading this and you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Savior and thus inherited a future life with Him… then this message IS intended for you.
This is not a message intended to prove God exists – He proves this day after day as long as you see. Plus, there are countless books, articles that have been written to assure you of the efficacy of the Bible. Even scientists who initially started out to prove God didn’t exist or that Jesus wasn’t who He said He was have through their investigations discovered their error and have come to a saving knowledge.
So how do I know that this message is directed at an unknown reader? Simple. Though I may not know you, God does. And He says:
“Can a mother forget the infant at her breast, walk away from the baby she bore? But even if mothers forget, I’d never forget you—never. Look, I’ve written your names on the backs of my hands.” (Isaiah 49:15-16, AMP)
“Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you:” (Jeremiah 1:5, MSG)
“He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” (Hebrews 13:5, AMP)
Those 3 verses from both the Old and New Testament are representative of many verses that state how God sees you. You are important to Him! But… if you say that you do accept God but don’t believe that Jesus is the only way, then:
“This Jesus is the stone which was despised and rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief Cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven
that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].” (Acts 4:11-12, AMP)
Again, there are many verses that I could cite that confirm this statement, but in this one verse alone we have all the evidence needed. One way. The Bible also states, in Romans 12:3, that God has dealt to each of us a measure of faith. So we have the ability to understand that even our faith is a gift.
“For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. (Ephesians 2:8-9, AMP)
Let me ask you…if Jesus isn’t your Lord, your Savior, then who/what is? And don’t tell me that you do everything ‘your way’. Not possible. If you don’t love and serve the Lord, then you love and serve His enemy – the devil. It’s always been either/or… always will be.
The unvarnished truth is that what’s at stake is YOU. And only you can decide to accept the gift extended to you. Your choice. Quite honestly, it doesn’t make that much difference what I say… the point has always been you.
